The Minister of Endowments added that the second file is to confront counter-religious extremism, and to monitor all the rules and behaviors that lead to a severe decline in morals, and to employ sermons and lessons to combat all manifestations of addiction, suicide, bullying, harassment, and other disturbing phenomena that negatively affect society.
The minister continued: The third file is rebuilding the Egyptian national character from a religious perspective. We want all platforms and mosques to fill the consciousness of the Egyptian person with the meaning of being an Egyptian person, that person who is passionate about knowledge, broad-minded, and confident in himself, his country’s institutions, and his history, the Egyptian person who does not respond to calls for frustration.
Regarding the fourth file, the Minister of Endowments said: I want mosques to contribute to filling the awareness of youth and all segments of Egyptian society in building civilization and promoting science, discovery, invention, creativity, and passion for science and knowledge.
In a related context, the Minister of Endowments confirmed that the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs will witness a major leap in restructuring its position on social media and restructuring committees, in coordination with the Egyptian Dar al-Iftaa, the Sufi Sheikhdom, and the noble gentlemen, so that these institutions will be one hand in lining up behind His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, because he is the face that represents Egypt before the world, as well as coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for an expanded presence of imams in clubs and youth centers and launching convoys and advocacy campaigns in major universities.
