Since its establishment in 2011, the National Association of Neurologists has been dedicated to advancing the field of neurology in Azerbaijan. The Association’s periodic meetings, particularly the Azerbaijan Neurologists Conference, attract significant participation. The 8th Conference, taking place on December 18, 2024, will cover a wide range of neurological topics, with presentations by esteemed local and international speakers.
The Pediatric Neurologists Society of Azerbaijan, known for its dynamic activities in the field of pediatric neurology, will host the 2nd Azerbaijan Conference of Pediatric Neurologists on December 17-18, 2024. This year’s conference will focus on headaches and neuromuscular diseases in children. The Society maintains close collaboration with the European Society of Pediatric Neurologists (EPNS) and has again organized EPNS teaching courses on December 19-20 during Neuroweek, following the success of the 2019 event.
Within Neuroweek-2024, the 5th International Congress of Neurology of Turkic Speaking Countries will be held, an initiative of the National Association of Neurologists of Azerbaijan. The Congress, first organized in Baku in December 2013, has subsequently been hosted in Almaty, Kazakhstan (2017), Bukhara, Uzbekistan (2018), and returned to Baku in 2019. Our accumulated experience and commitment to excellence ensure the highest standards for this year’s congress.
Baku, the vibrant capital of Azerbaijan, is a city rich in cultural heritage and historical significance. Known for being the birthplace of the first national theater and the first opera performance in the Muslim East, Baku stands as a beacon of artistic and intellectual achievement. For centuries, it has been a meeting point for diverse religions and cultures, fostering a spirit of harmony and collaboration. This tradition of cultural and intellectual exchange makes Baku the ideal host for Neuroweek-2024. The city’s unique blend of history and modernity provides a stimulating backdrop for international congresses, offering participants not only a chance to engage in cutting-edge neurological discussions but also to experience the dynamic and welcoming atmosphere of one of the world’s most intriguing cities.
We eagerly anticipate your participation in Neuroweek-2024 from December 16-21.
Sincerely,
Rena Shiraliyeva, Professor, Chairman
